Simon Boyde MRINA BSc (Eng)

Managing Director and Founder.

Simon is a Naval Architect with over fifty years of on-water boating experience. Simon has extensive technical knowledge of multiple marine products and systems, provided by twenty years’ experience at Storm Force Marine Ltd, a marine product engineering and distribution company in Asia. Simon has naval architecture, marine electrical, marine management and IT engineering qualifications.

On returning to the UK, he established Cadal Craft Ltd to provide Low Impact design options for inland waterways. Boyde Marine is a new venture focussing on providing technical and consulting services to the marine industry. Simon is a Member of the Royal Institution of Naval Architects. He is  a qualified marine electrician, sits on the committee of British Marine Inland Boatbuilding and the Boat Safety Scheme Advisory Committee, chairs the Inland Waterways International Low Impact Navigation Group, and is part of the EA National Waterways Advisory Group. He was the founding Chair of the Hong Kong Boating Industry Association
